Ames Citywide Solar PV Energy Potentials Study

In July 2020, the city published a study determining the overall rooftop solar PV potential throughout the City of Ames. The study examines total generation potential, optimized potential, market absorption projections, and recommended citywide solar pave implementation goals through 2040. The study reviews the potential economic and environmental impacts of this citywide solar pave potential and provides a menu of potential actions to advance solar pave installations in the city. Final actions should be established through a Climate Action Plan planning effort.
