Anchorage Tree and Vegetation Standards

This rule establishes the standards for trees and vegetation in Anchorage. Among other provisions, the rule gives allows citizens to plant trees in rights-of-way but requires them to maintain any such trees, gives the city authority to remove hazardous dead trees, and establishes penalties for violations of the city’s chapter on tree protection.
