Andalusia Shade Tree Requirements

Certain developments are required to have a minimum number of shade trees. In parking lots, for example, “one (1) small or large shade tree for every twenty (20) parking spaces shall be required within the parking area, and not along side streets.” Elsewhere “shade trees required on a building lot shall be the length, in feet, of all sides of the lot divided by forty (40), rounded up to the next whole number,” and “[n]o less than one-half (½) rounded to the next highest whole number of the required trees shall be large shade trees.”
