Aurora Landscape Plant Material Requirement

The Aurora landscape plant material requirement mandates that, in areas without underground irrigation systems, landscaping must include at least two materials, one of which must be plant material, with 40% of the area being permeable and 20% of that permeable area consisting of plants. Acceptable materials include plants (to be hand-watered), rock (excluding white rock), pavers, decorative concrete, or wood mulch. Homeowner yards visible from public rights-of-way cannot use only non-living materials.
