Austin Tree Requirements for Parking Lots

For each 12 parking spaces in a parking lot that is in a landscape yard, a minimum of 90 square feet of landscaped area are required within the parking lot. In addition, a parking lot must have end islands landscaped with trees in accordance with the city’s Environmental Criteria Manual, and a parking space may not be located more than 50 feet from a landscaped area, or more than 50 feet from a tree.
