Bend Standards for Planting Street Trees

The ordinance sets standards and requirements for planting trees along all streets for shading, comfort, safety and aesthetic purposes. The City has developed a list of trees for planting along streets in three size classes: (1) Low (less than 25 ft) for use in areas under power lines; (2) Medium (30-45ft) and; (3) Tall (50 ft or larger) for use along collector and arterial streets to create a canopy over the roadway. Street trees must be those species suitable for the location in which they are placed
