Brockton Development Standards “Green Score”

Includes development standards which outlines “The Green Score”: a zoning regulation that promotes environmental sustainability and public health. This regulation sets standards for landscape and site design to help reduce stormwater runoff, improve air quality, and keep the city cooler. The Green Score provides a weighted menu of landscape elements to provide flexible options that may be tailored to different building and site conditions. These landscape elements include: green roofs, rain gardens, vegetated walls, plants, among others. The minimum required Green Score needed to reach compliance differs by zoning district.
