California Building Energy Efficiency Standards

California’s Building Energy Efficiency Standards are a set of requirements found in the Energy Code and the voluntary energy efficiency provisions in CALGreen. They include regulations that mandate solar PV systems for nearly all new construction homes and apartment buildings as well as requirements for high solar-reflectance roofing for low-slope roofs.
