Cary Tree Protection Standards

These provisions provide standards for the protection of existing and new trees and vegetation and their root zones.

Includes the following provisions:
– Establishes a requirement for property owners and developers to preserve existing healthy trees.
– Tree buffer requirements based on land use class (7.2.3)
– Parking lots – 1 upper-story tree for every 7 parking spaces. (7.2.6)
