Casper Stormwater Management Practices

Code of Ordinances § 13.49.130 requires any person engaged in activities or operations, or owning facilities or property which will or may result in pollutants entering stormwater, the storm drain system, or surface waters of the state, and is not already covered by a WYPDES stormwater discharge permit, shall implement best management practices to the extent they are technologically achievable to prevent and reduce such pollutants. Best management practices required by the city can be found in the Erosion and Sediment Control Best Management Practices Manual for the City of Casper, Wyoming. These best practices for urban stormwater quality management and discharge control may include, but are not limited to, one or more of the following listed practices: vegetated buffers and swales, catch basin insert and filter covers, and infiltration trenches.
