Chandler Paving Material and Other Standards for Parking and Loading

Purpose of parking and loading regulations is to encourage higher densities; ensure shaded pedestrian paths; and encourage sustainable development practices that reduce solar heat gain and stormwater runoff. All parking areas and driveways shall have a surface of masonry, concrete or asphalt except in an AG-1 District and SF-33 District, where a dust-free surface is permitted. Alternative permeable paving materials may be permitted in an AG-1 District, SF-33 District and any non-residential district subject to approval by the City Engineer.
