Charleston’s Climate Action Plan

The City of Charleston’s Climate Action Plan is a strategic framework to reduce carbon pollution. It includes 12 strategies and 51 action items for the City of Charleston including, for example, strategies to increase tree planting on private property, strengthening tree protection regulations, and advocating for strengthened the state level energy code. The plan describes a path for Charleston to reduce emissions 56% by 2030 and to net zero by 2050.
