Chattanooga Ordinance Requiring Trees for Developments Next to Public Right-of-Way

This Chattanooga ordinance requires on-site trees to be planted in front and corner side setbacks of 15 feet or more, excluding single- or two-unit dwellings, to enhance the streetscape. Existing trees can count toward the requirement, and if any required tree is removed or damaged, it must be replaced with a comparable native species, subject to approval from the City Urban Forester.
