Chattanooga Zoning Code

The Chattanooga land use code establishes zoning regulations to promote public health, safety, and orderly development, while preserving the city’s character and natural resources. It focuses on providing diverse and affordable housing, supporting economic growth, and ensuring sustainable infrastructure planning and protection of parkland. The Code allows for green roofs, reflective roofs and pavements, and permeable pavements in multiple zoning districts. It also sets out standards for rooftop and freestanding solar installations.
