Clark County Landscaping Requirements and Plant Lists

The purpose of landscaping under Sec. 30.40.01 is to enhance streetscapes using low-water and climate-appropriate materials; reduce the impacts of wind, dust, pollution, glare, and heat island effect on human health and comfort; and create streets that are safe and enjoyable for people walking, biking, taking transit, or driving.

Plants must be selected from the Southern Nevada Water Authority and Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition’s Regional Plant List (Regional Plant List). Other plants may be proposed if provided by a qualified professional and at a minimum, meet the climate resiliency and selected plant rating and methodology provided in the Regional Plant List.
