Clean Energy DC Omnibus Amendment Act

The CEDC Act promotes a wide range of new policies and initiatives that primarily target energy supply, building energy use, and greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles. Workforce development, equity and the promotion of Certified Business Enterprises (CBEs) have also been strengthened throughout the plan. The Act revises the District’s Renewable Energy Portfolio Standard (RPS), mandating 100% of the District’s energy supply comes from renewable energy sources by 2032, and raised the percentage of solar energy carve out in the District from 5% to 10% by 2041.
