Cleveland Climate Action Plan: Clean Water and Vibrant Green Space

Cleveland set the objectives of having 100 percent of City residents live within a 10-minute walk of a safe and clean park, of installing stormwater control measures on all development projects, and of achieving 30 percent tree canopy coverage by 2040. To do so, the City set the goal of maintaining a healthy urban forest, in part by updating a county-wide urban tree canopy assessment and developing neighborhood tree goals. The City also set the goals of improving access to public parks and of scaling up storm water management, in part by expanding green roof installations.
