Columbus Street Tree Replacement

This ordinance requires the replacement of any removed street tree with a Class I or II tree of at least 1.5-inch caliper, either in the same vicinity, on private property, or elsewhere in the city. Trees must be replaced within specific seasonal timeframes, with waivers available for size and species. Alternatively, individuals may make a compensatory payment to the city, which will be used exclusively for urban forestry enhancement.
