Columbus Tree Preservation and Replacement Policy

Tree protection standards which apply to any development or redevelopment meeting certain standards, including all sites proposed for development. Establishes “Tree Density Units” (TDUs) as a method of measuring volume of required tree planting on-site based on new impervious surface or zoning classification. Existing trees may be counted to achieve required TDUs.

Includes the following provisions:
– Requirements for tree planting in and around parking lots based on lot size
– Tree Density Standards based on Zoning District
