Connecticut Net Metering Statute

Connecticut allows customers with small-scale renewable systems (like solar panels under 2 MW) to receive billing credits for excess electricity sent back to the grid between 2000 and 2041, provided their contracts were approved before the end of 2021. Residential customers can offset their electricity bills at a 1:1 kilowatt-hour rate and be compensated annually for unused credits at wholesale prices.
