Connecticut Solar Regulations for Land Subdivision

Connecticut requires municipal planning commissions to adopt regulations covering the subdivision of land that encourage the use of solar and other renewable forms of energy. Those submitting a plan for a subdivision must consider using passive solar energy techniques that would not significantly increase the cost of the housing to the buyer, after tax credits, subsidies and exemptions.
