Des Moines Rules for Solar Panels on Structures in Historic Districts.

Code of Ordinances Sec. 58-31 requires that a certificate of appropriateness for alteration to a structure within a historic district. The code states that the Historic Preservation Commission shall be sympathetic to proposals utilizing energy saving modifications, such as solar panels.
