Fremont Ordinance Requiring Responsible Water Management for All Developments

This Fremont ordinance establishes that all development and redevelopment projects, even those that do not meet the definition of a “regulated project” in the stormwater management manual, must still be designed to minimize land disturbances and impervious surfaces. To achieve this goal, projects should incorporate measures such as directing roof runoff to vegetated areas, utilizing micro-detention techniques, or restoring riparian areas and wetlands.
