Green Infrastructure in Passaic Stormwater Control Ordinance

Stormwater Control Ordinance Section § 258A-4 “Stormwater Management Requirements for Major Development” outlines green infrastructure to support groundwater recharge and stormwater runoff quality. Smart Surfaces recommended include cisterns, grass swales, green roofs, pervious paving systems, bio-retention basins, and vegetative filter strips. Section § 258A-3 “Design and performance standards for stormwater management measures” notes that the minimum standards for groundwater recharge, stormwater quality, and stormwater runoff quantity shall be met by incorporating green infrastructure.
