Greenville Tree Protection Ordinance

Greenville’s tree protection provisions include, among other requirements, that development that removes canopy trees of 6 inches or greater must replace those trees or mitigate the loss; that a landscape plan must be submitted for protecting existing trees during development; and that mandatory fines up to $25,000 will be imposed for certain violations of the city’s tree protection rules.
