Henderson Shaded Walkways for Commercial, Mixed-Use, and Industrial Buildings

Development Code § 19.10.3(E)(7) Response to the Climate requires that commercial, mixed-use, and industrial development provide shaded walkways along 50% of all the building facades and buildings shall be oriented to minimize direct solar exposure.

Shaded walkways, as defined in § 19.37.1, are sidewalks made of pervious concrete or standard concrete that provide a minimum of one shade tree per 30 ft of linear street.
