Indianapolis Stormwater Credit Policy

The stormwater credit policy offers up to a 50% fee reduction for residential and nonresidential properties that implement approved stormwater management practices. Residential credits (up to 25%) are available for rain gardens, stormwater storage, or vegetated filter strips, while nonresidential credits apply to facilities meeting or exceeding design standards, green infrastructure reducing runoff, or direct discharge to major waterways. Additional credits include 20% for advanced green infrastructure and 5% for approved educational programs. Credits last three years, require detailed applications, and are subject to compliance with the Stormwater Credit Manual.
