Jacksonville Vision Zero Action Plan

In July 2025 Jacksonville finalized its Jacksonville Vision Zero Action Plan, which outlines the city’s plans for safe, more connected roadways. In addition to a host of other actions around traffic calming and pedestrian safety, the plan specifically calls for action to “Develop design standards and guidelines for incorporating smart surfaces and green infrastructure into traffic calming measures, using best practices,” to “Pilot green traffic calming projects along the HIN corridors by implementing green infrastructure in strategic locations to evaluate their safety and environmental benefits, and to develop a long-term Green Streets Policy.
