Jefferson County Code to Establish Green Standards for Land Development

This rule sets standards governing the approval of land development in order to carry out the Jefferson County comprehensive plan and to promote the public health, safety and general welfare while allowing for cost saving efficiencies in Jefferson County. This includes regulating the orientation of streets, lots and parcels, and the placement and growth of vegetation within the county to ensure access to solar energy by reasonably regulating interests in property within the county, to promote and maximize the conservation of energy and to implement the comprehensive plans relating to solar energy.
