Jersey City Bioswales Forestry Standards

Jersey City Forestry Standards II.I states that bioswales and other forms of green infrastructure installed on the right-of-way help collect and manage stormwater runoff from streets and sidewalks by directing stormwater to engineered systems that typically feature soils, stones, and vegetation. For green infrastructure projects installed as part of a private development project, the design and maintenance provisions shall be facilitated through the Planning Board or Zoning Board of Adjustment approval process.
