Jersey City Resilient Design Handbook

Jersey City’s 2019 Resilient Design Handbook serves as a tool to assist residents and business owners in making Jersey City greener and more resilient. It provides basic information about flooding in Jersey City as well as recommendations as best practices for green infrastructure and resilient building design strategies. Suggested Smart Surface, resilient building design strategies to reduce the impact of urban stormwater include utilizing vegetation such as trees, shrubs, or living walls that attain a height of at least three feet between property lines and the front building walls for residential buildings and commercial design
