Kansas City Sustainability Program

Kansas City, Missouri, has a “KC Green” initiative which includes the goal to “identify, track, encourage, and support new green infrastructure capital projects in Kansas City.” Their active projects include solar panels on public and private property, green infrastructure for stormwater management, a green and sustainable procurement ordinance, and an urban forest master plan.
