Keep Cool DC: DC’s Extreme Heat Adaptation Strategy

Keep Cool DC is the district’s comprehensive strategy to adapt to hotter days by reducing the drivers of extreme heat and protecting residents from the dangers of high temperatures. The plan includes sections on tree equity, cool pavement, and updates to landscape design regulations such as the Green Area Ratios and Green Construction Code.
