Lakewood Enhanced Development Menu

Lakewood’s Enhanced Development Menu requires developers to incorporate sustainable building techniques into projects, while allowing them to select which specific measures to undertake from a long menu of options. The Menu gives various measures a point score, and options include, for example, using renewable energy, achieving LEED building certification, installing a cool or green roof, using low carbon concrete, and providing above-requirements street trees. The Menu requires more points for larger projects; projects with a gross floor area less than 2,500 square feet are exempt altogether, and projects of 150,000 square feet or more must achieve the highest listed point totals.
