Lakewood Street Tree Requirements for New Construction and Additions

Under Lakewood’s zoning code, new construction and additions covering 20% or more of a home’s floor area must include one street tree for every 35 linear feet of street frontage. Trees may project into a utility easement, but must be “located to avoid significant interference with overhead or underground utilities.”
