Las Vegas Historic Districts Permissions for Solar Panels

Las Vegas Unified Development Code § 19.10.150 requires that the Historic Preservation Commission review applications for solar and wind conversion technologies and to determine their impact within historic designation overlays. Solar panels and water heaters can be placed in rear of property. If equipment is to be roof-mounted, low or non-reflective materials shall be used. Visible solar installations should be designed to structure’s roofline and placed in locations not visible from public right-of-way. If it is not possible for the system to be invisible, then certain design features are encouraged.
