Lawrence Street Tree Ordinance

Lawrence’s Street Tree Ordinance describes the city’s approach to preserving and maintaining trees. Among other provisions, a notable feature of Lawrence’s ordinance is one allowing private parties that own land abutting streets to request that the city plant a street tree on the right-of-way adjacent to their property. Such a requester must agree to care for the tree. § 18-104.
