Layton Water-Wise Landscaping Ordinance

This Layton ordinance establishes that all developments other than privately owned family homes must limit turf grass installation to 15% coverage of landscaped areas. Turf grass also cannot be installed in landscape buffers or parking lot landscaping. Instead, shrubs and ornamental grasses should be drought-tolerant and planted in groups to maintain a microclimate shade area above root zones.
