City Plants is an LA-based organization that works with the LA Department of Water & Power to distribute free trees for yards and parkways across the city. Residents can request up to 7 free shade trees for their yards, which they will be responsible for planting, or ask City Plants to install street trees in the space between the sidewalk and the street.
