Louisville Urban Heat Island Study

The Louisville Urban Heat Management Study is the first comprehensive heat management assessment undertaken by a major US city. In addition to examining the impact of the Louisville urban heat island, the study promotes the joint implementation of cool roofs and reflective pavement, expanded vegetation cover, and energy efficiency programs.
