Lowell Porous Paving Standards for Parking Areas

Required off-street parking facilities may be enclosed in a structure or may be open. If such facilities are open, they shall be graded, surfaced with tar, asphalt, concrete, porous pavers, or other nondusting paving, drained and suitably maintained to the satisfaction of the Building Commissioner and the City Engineer to the extent necessary to avoid the nuisances of dust, erosion or excessive water flow onto public ways or adjoining property. All off-street parking facilities must conform to all applicable provisions of the Stormwater Management Standards issued by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.
