Madras Municipal Code to Establish Sustainable Land Development Standards

This rule establishes the minimum standards governing the approval of land development, including subdivisions and partitioning as necessary to carry out the City of Madras comprehensive plan and to promote the public health, safety and general welfare while allowing for cost saving efficiencies. This includes regulating the orientation of streets, lots and parcels, and the placement and growth of vegetation within the City to ensure access to solar energy by reasonably regulating interests in property within the county, to promote and maximize the conservation of energy and to implement the comprehensive plans relating to solar energy.
