Mississippi Permit Encouraging Green Infrastructure for Stormwater Management

This green infrastructure handbook from the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) describes updates to the statewide Phase II Municipal Separate Storm Water Sewer System (MS4) General Permit. The permit now includes the following language encouraging green infrastructure: “MDEQ strongly recommends adopting ordinances to promote and encourage the implementation of non-structural BMPs [Best Management Practices], including Low Impact Development (LID) and Green Infrastructure (GI). “
