Nashville Ordinance Establishing Conservation Development Standards

This Nashville ordinance establishes standards that protect sensitive ecosystems like streams and wetlands, encourage lot creation on less environmentally sensitive areas, and provide design flexibility within existing zoning districts. These standards ensure that a minimum percentage of a subdivision development site is preserved as open space, especially areas with floodplains, streams, wetlands, and other significant features. Flexibility in lot sizes is allowed in exchange for preserving natural areas as open space, with requirements for common open space and conservation areas.
