Nashville Sustainable Development Ordinance

This Nashville ordinance establishes that the city government will incorporate green and sustainable building practices into the design, construction, and operations of all government facilities and funded projects. It will also promote green building practices in the private sector to encourage sustainability. Additionally, the government will evaluate land purchases for future development based on their potential to enhance sustainability, and adopt the current LEED™ Green Building Rating Systems as the standard for sustainable building practices.
