Nebraska Zoning and Comprehensive Planning for Solar and Wind Energy Access

This policy authorizes counties and municipalities to incorporate zoning regulations and comprehensive development plans that encourage the use of solar and wind energy while protecting access to these resources. Considerations may include height, location, and setback requirements for structures and vegetation, as well as designated districts to promote renewable energy. Development plans may include elements to integrate solar and wind energy with conventional energy sources, supporting long-term energy conservation goals.
