New Orleans Permeable and Pervious Paving Materials in Stormwater Code

Except as otherwise required for persons with disabilities, all non-residential, surface-level, off-street parking spaces in the City shall be paved using permeable and pervious paving material. This requirement shall apply to all new paving installations and to the substantial improvement of development sites with existing non-residential, surface-level, off-street parking spaces. The removal of impermeable paving shall not be required for any existing parking space that is already subject to an approved, post-construction stormwater management plan that satisfies the requirements of Sec. 121.10. To the extent practicable, permeable paving should be used in place of impervious paving materials in all other permitted locations.
