New Orleans Protection for Trees Near Construction Work

Section 106-218 of the City of New Orleans code provides that “[i]n the erection or repair of any building or structure, the builder, contractor or owner thereof shall place such guards around all the nearby trees belonging to the city as shall effectually prevent injury to them and shall not place building materials or trash upon neutral grounds without the permission of the parkway and park commission.”
