Newark Community Energy Plan

The City of Newark’s Community Energy Plan supports a fair and equitable transition to an energy-efficient and renewable-energy-sourced-Newark, including the following initiatives: Reducing harmful emissions, increasing energy efficiency, fostering a clean energy economy, and developing a green workforce. Smart Surface strategies include adoption of supportive zoning and permitting for solar as well as the institution of a community-wide solar purchasing program.
