Newark Mayoral Tree Planting Initiative

This mayoral initiative is an effort to plant at least 5,000 trees in Newark over the next ten years. Rooted in Newark is more than trees. It’s about creating cooler, greener, and healthier neighborhoods, one tree at a time. The initiative involves the newly appointed Tree Superintendent, residents, nonprofits, and community leaders to build a more resilient and livable Newark.
